Prado Cafe began as a single shop on Commercial Drive with one goal. I wanted to make the best coffee and make people feel welcome.

From the beginning we focused on specialty coffee, fresh baked goods and a genuine neighbourhood-first vibe. Those early days (and early mornings) helped build our reputation as a Vancouver coffee destination rooted in quality and community. That same vision has expanded to cafes across Vancouver, Burnaby and Surrey, each one cared for by a team who takes pride in what they serve and the people they serve it to.

I have been in this industry for more than two decades, pulling shots, training baristas and competing at Barista Championships at the National and International level. And one of the biggest lessons I have learned during my time in the coffee business is that your intention shows up in every cup.

As we’ve grown, Prado Cafe has evolved to Prado Coffee. The shift reflects our continued focus on the full coffee experience and how a delicious, intentionally crafted cup can make someone’s day. What hasn’t changed is our commitment to craft, community and serving damn good coffee with a side of kindness. We hope to continue slinging awesome coffee your way and make your days a little brighter.
